   My mom went thru hard times also, especially when the first of her two daughters came out to her, my sister. She did not have Cher though for an inspiration to help her cope. My Mom was upset and beating herself up for my sister being gay when she went to visit her grandmother, my great g-ma. That is when she got some sound advice, Gg-ma told her she did nothing to cuase my sis to be the way she was and asked if she loved her. My Moms answer was yes of course and Gg-ma told her that is ALL that matters. This from a woman who was in her nineties, and that was over twenty years ago. Now that was one well adapted and wise woman. Needles to say when Mom figured me out it was much easier for her and ms both, but then I was no prom queen.
